Obstetrics and Gynecology

                                    Infertility and Reproductive Endocrinology

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology has an active infertility service staffed by a physician and a full-time dedicated registered nurse.  Evaluation of the male and female partner is recommended.

A number of treatment options for the infertile couple are available at the Amarillo campus, including intrauterine insemination (husband), donor insemination, ovulation induction (pills and injections), office hysteroscopy and reproductive surgery including endometriosis, tubal surgery and tubal ligation reversal.

Semen analyses are performed in our campus reproductive laboratory.  Those requiring in vitro fertilization are referred to our program at Texas Tech in Lubbock.

In addition, the department has an active interest in women with polycystic ovary syndrome and other disorders of excessive hair growth.

Women with disorders of sexual development, pubertal disorders, and premature ovarian failure (early menopause) are also welcomed.
