Ultrasound
Ultrasonographic services in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology consist of routine and advanced obstetrical ultrasound, gynecologic ultrasound, fetal echocardiography, 3D ultrasound, infertility sonography, saline-enhanced sonography and selected ultrasound guided intrauterine therapy procedures.
Both abdominal and vaginal ultrasound is performed by four certified ultrasonographers, and images are evaluated by members of the faculty.
The Texas Tech ultrasound unit is the only American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM) certified unit in the Panhandle.
